Professor Ir Dr Mohd Sapuan Salit is the Head of Advanced Engineering Materials and Composites Research Centre, UPM. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, Society of Automotive Engineers, Academy of Sciences Malaysia, and the International Society for Development and Sustainability. He has produced over 2000 publications (948 journal papers, 60 books, and 230 chapters in book) and has delivered 67 plenary and keynote lectures. He received ISESCO Science Award, Khwarizimi International Award, SAE Subir Chowdhury Medal of Quality Leadership, International Society of Bionic Engineering Outstanding Contribution Award, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Award, and William Johnson International Gold Medal.
