Parasitology
Professor Dr Suresh Govind is a Senior Professor and former Head of the Department of Parasitology. He has authored over 160 scientific papers and presented 270 conference papers. With experience supervising more than 100 students, including doctorate candidates, he has received numerous accolades, including the National Young Scientist Award and the Malaysian Toray Science Award. An expert for WHO’s guidelines for drinking-water quality since 2004, he also serves on various national councils and committees. As a former president and current advisor of the Sathya Sai International Organization in Malaysia, he promotes human values and selfless service, having authored seven books on the subject. Currently, he coordinates community engagement across 114 countries, fostering interreligious dialogue.
