Dr Wickneswari Ratnam FASc is the Managing Director of Nomatech Sdn Bhd, a start-up focused on agricultural innovations, particularly rice cultivar development. A Fellow of ASM since 2012, she is a retired professor from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), with 38 years in plant genetics and biotechnology. She has led national and international research projects on genetic diversity, quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping, and stress resistance in rice. As an influential figure, she has served on national panels and is the Chief Editor of Malaysian Applied Biology. With numerous publications and intellectual properties, she has supervised many postgraduate students, contributing significantly to her field.
