Economic geologist
Dato’ Sia Hok Kiang PGeol FASc is a Fellow of ASM, Senior Council Member of the Malaysian Chamber of Mines, and Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Science, UM. He has 43 years handson experience in exploration, mining, mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and various mining projects around the World. An economic geologist, his specialises in epithermal gold, tin, copper and ion adsorption clay (IAC) type of REE deposits. He has developed a unique midstream REE separation technology for the IAC mine products.
