Academician Datuk Dr Tengku Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen FASc

Academician Datuk Dr Tengku Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen FASc graduated from the University of Manchester with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, as well as a master’s and doctoral degree in control systems. He taught at Universiti Malaya for 11 years before becoming the founding Director General and CEO of the Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems (MIMOS) for 21 years. Currently, he is the President of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, STI Advisor to the Prime Minister and the Nation, and a board member of several organisations.
